Notealise
Notealise

Note

the bridge between complexity and constraint

Just your files, and an app that treats them well.

What it is

An editor you can shape until it fits how you think.

Sort your notes into spaces — a project, the journal, study — each with its own look: study tight and dark, the journal soft and wide.

None of it is asked of you at the start. You find it when you go looking.

What it isn’t

Your notes don’t live inside Notealise.

Every note is a plain Markdown file in a folder you picked. No account, no server, no format only Notealise can read. Delete the app and your notes sit exactly where they were, ready to open in anything else.

Who it’s for

For notes that outlast the app you wrote them in.

People who write things down and expect to come back to them — a reading habit, a research project, a diary, a degree. Anyone who’s watched a notes app change hands or shut down, and would rather that not matter next time.

It runs on Windows and macOS, works offline, and imports what you already keep elsewhere. Studying pushes it hardest.

Try it

Have a go before you download it.

This is the real app, running on the page. Switch spaces down the side and the whole look follows. Nothing you do here is saved.
